Emotional intelligence is being able to identify and respond effectively to our own and other people‚Äôs emotions. When we take on a lot of stress for whatever the reason it can be very hard to keep our emotions from overtaking us .A result is that we feel  overwhelmed giving a sense of isolation and vulnerability.  We then get angry, defensive or shut off.  Its important to know the importance of our emotions and the role they serve us.
